The following is a guest post in the form of an open letter from Special Olympics athlete and global messenger John Franklin Stephens to Ann Coulter after this tweet during last night's Presidential debate.
Dear Ann Coulter,
Come on Ms. Coulter, you aren’t dumb and you aren’t shallow. So why are you continually using a word like the R-word as an insult?
Ann Coulter isn't a politician, a policy analyst, a pollster, or a campaign operative. She's just a person who has become fabulously famous and wealthy by being a bad person. I'm not just being pejorative; by any objective standard the things Ann Coulter says that makes her famous are also the things that make her a bad person. It's a living, but the next time you wonder why the discourse in America is so low, it's because people like Ann Coulter are considered valuable assets by the media that's supposed to be informing us.
